Fall 2018 "It" Print(s)

There are two prints that have been dominating the fall OOTDs this year; camo and cheetah. I have always been a cheetah girl (cheetah girl, cheetah sisters. Please tell me you get the reference!) but camo it took me a little longer to incorporate into my wardrobe. Last year I bought my first camo piece from express ( this top) and this year my collection has grown quite a bit!

I have rounded up my top picks for both of the best prints this fall season:

Cheetah
1 - Leopard booties take any neutral outfit to the next level
2 - just ordered this during the loft family and friends sale! can wait to style it
3 - the perfect skirt for work of happy hour
4 - Leopard pumps are the perfect way to take your worker up a notch
5 -  I live in cardigans when I travel, and this is not boring by any means! Pair it with all black and you have the perfect OOTD!!
6 - A more casual skirt that would be perfect with OTK boots and a leather jacket
7 - this coat is perfect when you want to be extra but comfy
8 - Winter accessories don't have to be boring!

Camo
1 - I own these jeans and I love them! They go with everything and they have a little bit of stretch to them! Express also has a  non-ripped version of these jeans
2 - This tee is super soft and it can be dressed up or down
3 - I have this in the lighter camo and it is the comfiest thing I have ever worn!
4 - I love shirt dresses and I think I need to add this one to my collection
5 - A camo jacket is quite a statement, this piece has not made it into my wardrobe yet but I think it might make an appearance soon
6 - This is the first piece of camo I bought about 2 years ago and I get so much wear out of it
7 - This camo mini with OTK boots and an oversized sweater would be such a chic outfit
8 - This has been in my cart for about a week, one more cardigan wouldn't hurt right? lol

Fall Essentials

When I woke up this morning it was 49 degrees and I could not contain my excitement!! It is finally, slowly starting to feel like Fall! I decided to round up my top 10 fall essentials, the best part is all of these items are under $75!!

1. Layering Necklaces: I own this set ($42) from Baublebar and I reach for it almost every day! These dainty pieces are the perfect finishing touches of any outfit. The best part of this trend is that you don't have to go out and spend your money on it, just pick a couple of necklaces from your closet in different lengths and pair them together!

2. Sneakers: Athleisure is back stronger than ever this fall! It is a great wait to be comfy and still look cute! I wore these sneakers($60) while I was in NY last weekend and it was the perfect shoe to walk around the city!

3. Metallic Accessories: Metallic accessories are everywhere this Fall, the best part about this trend is that you can just dip your toes on this trend with small accessories like these earrings ($48) or go big with these shoes ($23.34) and they also come in rose gold!!

4. Pops of Red: Red is the color of the Fall! You can just wear pops of red your make up; this red lipstick ($27) is one of my favorite ones to wear all year around! Or make this color the star of your outfit!

5. Hoops:  Please tell me I am not the only one who was obsessed with hoops in High School! Well good news (or bad if you hated them back then), hoops are the accessory of the fall and they come in all sizes and finishes! If you don't want to invest a lot on this trend I recommend getting these sets, they come in gold, silver and rose gold and they are only $6! If you want to invest a little more on this trend, these hoops ($85) from Kendra Scott are my favorite!

6. Velvet Accessories: This Fall season is going to be all about textures, and velvet is the one textures that I have been seeing everywhere! You can go all in with these gorgeous booties ($24.59) or just add a touch of velvet with this clutch ($35) or these earrings ($5).

7. Moto Jakets: I believe this should be a staple in your wardrobe every Fall, but the styles this year are so much fun! They come embroidered ($40), studded ($43), and colorful ($24)! You can pick any style that suits your personality! I am thinking about adding this one ($43) to my collection.

8. Military Vest: This is a staple in my closet starting in the Fall all the way until the end of spring. I love pairing my vest with basic long sleeve tees or t-shirt dresses. It is perfect for layering during those months that it is not cold enough for a jacket but it is a little chilly outside. This vest ($27) is very similar to the one I own and it is under $30, this ($29.99) is another good option from target.

9. Fun Sweaters: Sweaters this season are all about oversized sleeves, fun ruffles and cool details. Express has a lot of cool sweaters that fit all the trends this season and the best part is that you can dress all of these sweaters up or down! This one ($31) , this one ($60)and this one ($60) are my top picks for Fall sweaters this season.

10. Basic long sleeve tees: This is a staple in my closet all year long, they are the perfect basic to build your outfit on. I wear them under jackets, under vest or by themselves. My favorite basic long sleeve tees are from loft ($24.50); they are reasonably priced, good quality and come in a variety of colors.

Embroidered Details

Every season there is one trend that I am obsessed with since the beginning, and this summer that trend was embroidered clothing, shoes, and accessories. There is something about embroidery that takes a piece to the next level. This is also a trend I believe will carry over well into the Fall and Winter.

I have rounded up my favorite embroidered items under $50 and a lot of them are easy to transition into the Fall!!

Thanksgiving Outfit

Sweater (Express) | Leggings (Express) | Clutch (Similar Here) |
OTK Boots (Nordstrom) | Earrings (Kendra Scott)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I love comfortable clothes, especially on Thanksgiving! Leggings and oversized sweaters are great options for a Thanksgiving outfit, but you also don't want to look like you are chilling in your yoga pants watching Netflix! (#NetflixandChilledWine)

A great alternative for your regular black leggings are these gorgeous faux leather burgundy leggings! They are super comfortable but they look very dressy and like you are trying harder than you really are! I paired it with and oversized poncho sweater from express that is perfect for hiding that food baby that we all know we get after an amazing Thanksgiving dinner!! To tie this look together I added some earrings from the Kendra Scott Bridal collection and my favorite OTK boots were the perfect finishing touch!

I hope y'all are having a great Thanksgiving so far and get to spend it surrounded by loved ones!! I just want to let you guys know that I am extremely grateful for all the people that share this little corner of the internet with me! Your love and support means the world to me!!!

Navy Suede

Shirt (Loft) | Suede Skirt (Loft) | Booties (JustFab) |
Purse (Michael Kors, Similar Here) | Sunglasses (Ray-Ban) | Earrings (Kendra Scott)

November is here!! Which means my favorite holiday is just around the corner, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it is filled with great food, family, and football!!

This amazing suede skirt from Loft is perfect for thanksgiving! The deep navy color can be paired with a variety of colors because it is a neutral and the texture makes for the perfect focal point for any outfit! I pared it with this floral burgundy tunic from Loft, I love anything floral but fall florals hold a special place in my heart! One of the many reasons I love this tunic is because it can also be worn with leggings and OTK for an edgier look!

Now lets talk about these shoes! I don't think i have ever seen navy booties before I spotted this amazing JustFab booties, the cutouts and the fringe makes them perfect for this not-so-hot Texas Fall weather! The heel is pretty high but super comfortable!

My shirt and skirt are currently 40% off during the Loft Friendsgiving Sale!

Blogging has helped my confidence and body image....

That might be a weird thing to say since having a fashion blog means putting yourself out there and giving people a chance to criticize the way you look in clothes.

Ever since I can remember I've had an unnatural love for fashion, I remember when I was a little girl I would go into my grandma's closet and get all dressed up in her fur coats, jewels and high heels, it made me feel like i could face anything that came my way, like I was wearing a gorgeous armor that helped me face the world. That feeling carried over into my teens and most of my twenties.

I had always refused a career in fashion, because I never thought I was pretty enough or skinny enough, or tall enough. Every time I saw a fashion model, blogger or designer they looked like the epitome of perfection and I was never going to be able to achieve that. They were the ultimate goal, a goal that ordinary people like me could never reach.

That comparison stopped me from starting a blog for a couple of years, every time I would sit down to write anything fashion-related a voice in the back of my head would say "who would listen to fashion advice from someone that looks like you?" and for a very long time I believed that little voice. Then one day something changed, I realized that our differences is what makes us beautiful and that there are a lot of guys and girls that feel like I do, like just because they don't fit a mold they shouldn't  be doing something they love.

When I got over my fear, blogging became my outlet, it was a way to channel my creative energy and I didn't care that my mom and mother-in-law were the only people reading it :) It was something I really enjoyed doing. Now a days, I don't worry too much about what other people think about my hobby but if I can help one girl get over her fear and realize that we were created after God's image and we are perfection in our own unique ways I have done my job!!

Blogging has opened my eyes to all the amazing people out there, and that no matter how different we are we all have something very special to offer. My blogs and IG pictures might seem silly to some, but to me they are a way to show that girl that is a little nerdy with a killer fashion sense that it is ok to be both, and that the world will embrace you just the way you are!

Thank you for putting up with this long and out of the ordinary post! Love y'all!!!

It finally feels like Fall in Texas!!! It was in the 50s this morning and I loved it! Fall is one of my favorite seasons; not only because you don't melt like a popsicle when you walk outside, but also Fall fashion is so versatile that switching a couple of accessories can change up your whole look!

I put that to the test by styling this gorgeous burgundy dress 3 different ways!

Outfit #1: I never thought I would jump on the choker trend, but I was wrong! I found this choker at Charlotte Russe a couple of weeks ago for $5 and it adds the perfect amount of fall to this dress. This is a very monochromatic look which allows the shoes to be the focal point! Can we just talk about how cute the shoes are??? The fringe in the back of the shoes adds the perfect finishing touch to the outfit.

Outfit#2: I traded the choker for a statement necklace, the shoes for a pair of OTK books, and the purse for a gold envelope clutch; this made the whole outfit feel more fall appropriate and versatile to wear for a night out when the temperatures start to drop!

Outfit #3: I just added a faux fur vest to take this look to another level! If you are not a fan of faux fur vest just add a black suede vest and it would look equally stunning!!

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend and enjoyed this post!

Go to Casual OOTD

Bag: Tory Burch | T-Shirt: Nordstrom | Jeans: Express |
Shoes: BCBG, dupes for these Valentino | Sunglasses: Rayban |
Necklace: Kendra Scott | Watch: Michael Kors

As much as I love trendy outfits I love comfort even more! But just because you want to be comfortable it doesn't mean that you can't look put together! Lately my go to outfit has been jeans and a t-shirt, always paired with cute jewelry and stand out shoes. I got these BCBG sandals during Labor day weekend for $14.99 and they are a dupe to the Valentino Rockstud sandals. I love how the accessories complete this outfit, the white t-shirt is the perfect blank canvas for the tan tones in the accessories!

Since it is still in the mid 90s in Texas, this is as fall as my outfits get right now! In a couple of weeks when the temperature drops here in Texas and we get some cooler weather I will be wearing this t-shirt with a knit sweater and some OTK boots.

I hope you enjoyed this post and have a wonderful week ahead!!

Wear Now, Wear later: Orange Top

Top: Charming Charlie's but  Similar Here | Sunglasses: Quay Australia
Necklace: Kendra Scott | Shoes: Similar Here | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Shorts: Similar Here |

Hat: Nordstrom | Top: Charming Charlie's but  Similar Here | Necklace: Kendra Scott |
Leather Leggings: Express | OTK Boots: Nordstrom | Bag: Similar Here |

September has arrived!!!! Which means fall clothes are starting to peak through in your closet!

A couple of weeks ago I was visiting charming charlie's (aka OCD heaven) when i came across the perfect flowy top!!! The burnt orange hue is the perfect for the fall and the airiness reminds me of a late summer sunset. I styled this orange top two different ways; how to wear now and later into the fall.

Wear Now: I paired this pretty top with some jean shorts and gladiator sandals! I had been looking for the perfect gladiator sandals since the end of the summer last year and I finally found them! The sandals give this top a summery feel without being too summer! I accessorized with one of my favorite necklaces from the new Kendra Scott fall collection!

Wear Later: At first I was a little worried that the black and orange combo was too Halloween, but the leather leggings and the OTK boots gave it an effortlessly edgy look! This hat was one of my favorite purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, the stitching on the edge is so beautiful!! Can we take a minute to appreciate this Kendra Scott Necklace??? It is probably my favorite statement necklace that I own!! (and I own quite a few of them!!)

I hope y'all enjoyed this post and have a wonderful weekend!!
