Show a Little Shoulder

Dress (similar here) | Purse (Similar here) | Earrings (similar here) |
Boots (same style here and similar here) | Puff (here)

Winter is finally here (for now at least), we even turned on the heater at our apartment. Texas decided to give us a cold front today, it got as low as 28 degrees!! Even though today was freezing I can't stop wearing off the shoulder sweaters and dresses!

I love this off the shoulder dress for the colder months, it is a thicker fabric than your usual off the shoulder dresses and the teal color is stunning for winter! Paired with some high boots it is appropriate for the colder months! I got the dress from a local boutique in my hometown, unfortunately they do not have a website :( but I have linked some similar options below (one of them is only $14.99!!!) These Jessica Simpson boots I got a couple of years ago in Chicago, the distressed leather gives them a cool vibe and they do not look like every other pair of boots in my closet!

There is something really feminine and dressy about off the shoulder clothing and i think it can be a fun way to shake up your wardrobe during the colder months!! I think this dress would be stunning for holiday parties, the teal color will make you stand out in a sea of sparkle! Just don't forget to add a coat when you go outside! :)

Thanksgiving Outfit

Sweater (Express) | Leggings (Express) | Clutch (Similar Here) |
OTK Boots (Nordstrom) | Earrings (Kendra Scott)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I love comfortable clothes, especially on Thanksgiving! Leggings and oversized sweaters are great options for a Thanksgiving outfit, but you also don't want to look like you are chilling in your yoga pants watching Netflix! (#NetflixandChilledWine)

A great alternative for your regular black leggings are these gorgeous faux leather burgundy leggings! They are super comfortable but they look very dressy and like you are trying harder than you really are! I paired it with and oversized poncho sweater from express that is perfect for hiding that food baby that we all know we get after an amazing Thanksgiving dinner!! To tie this look together I added some earrings from the Kendra Scott Bridal collection and my favorite OTK boots were the perfect finishing touch!

I hope y'all are having a great Thanksgiving so far and get to spend it surrounded by loved ones!! I just want to let you guys know that I am extremely grateful for all the people that share this little corner of the internet with me! Your love and support means the world to me!!!

I cannot believe Thanksgiving is only a week away!! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and at my parents' house it is always a dress up holiday, actually my family loves dressing up for every single holiday and I do not mind it one bit!!

With Thanksgiving just around the corner I decided to post my first holiday look and this might be my favorite look to ever hit the blog!! This amazing gold skirt from Francesca's is perfect for a fancy thanksgiving dinner or any holiday parties that you might have in the upcoming months! It is the perfect focal point for any outfit!

One of the many reasons I love this skirt is because it has a stretchy waistband, I love holiday food so I want to be able to wear something that doesn't make me uncomfortable even after a big Thanksgiving meal! (#sorryImNotSorry 🙈) I paired this skirt with a plain off the shoulder black sweater, strappy heels and a beaded clutch that I got from Charming Charlie a couple of months ago for $12!!! It is no longer available online but I have seen it in stores and I linked some similar clutches below, all under $50!!!

My skirt from Francesca's is currently BOGO 50% off until 11/23 in stores and online!!

The deep navy color can be paired with a variety of colors because it is a neutral and the texture makes for the perfect focal point for any outfit! I pared it with this floral burgundy tunic from Loft, I love anything floral but fall florals hold a special place in my heart! Blogging has helped my confidence and body image....

That might be a weird thing to say since having a fashion blog means putting yourself out there and giving people a chance to criticize the way you look in clothes.

Ever since I can remember I've had an unnatural love for fashion, I remember when I was a little girl I would go into my grandma's closet and get all dressed up in her fur coats, jewels and high heels, it made me feel like i could face anything that came my way, like I was wearing a gorgeous armor that helped me face the world. That feeling carried over into my teens and most of my twenties.

I had always refused a career in fashion, because I never thought I was pretty enough or skinny enough, or tall enough. Every time I saw a fashion model, blogger or designer they looked like the epitome of perfection and I was never going to be able to achieve that. They were the ultimate goal, a goal that ordinary people like me could never reach.

That comparison stopped me from starting a blog for a couple of years, every time I would sit down to write anything fashion-related a voice in the back of my head would say "who would listen to fashion advice from someone that looks like you?" and for a very long time I believed that little voice. Then one day something changed, I realized that our differences is what makes us beautiful and that there are a lot of guys and girls that feel like I do, like just because they don't fit a mold they shouldn't  be doing something they love.

When I got over my fear, blogging became my outlet, it was a way to channel my creative energy and I didn't care that my mom and mother-in-law were the only people reading it :) It was something I really enjoyed doing. Now a days, I don't worry too much about what other people think about my hobby but if I can help one girl get over her fear and realize that we were created after God's image and we are perfection in our own unique ways I have done my job!!

Blogging has opened my eyes to all the amazing people out there, and that no matter how different we are we all have something very special to offer. My blogs and IG pictures might seem silly to some, but to me they are a way to show that girl that is a little nerdy with a killer fashion sense that it is ok to be both, and that the world will embrace you just the way you are!

Thank you for putting up with this long and out of the ordinary post! Love y'all!!!

Gift Guide - Wedding Events

Fall Wedding Season is upon us and that means that our calendars will be filled with engagement parties, bridal showers, couples showers, and bachelorette parties! A full social calendar is always fun, but with parties comes gift giving. I enjoy giving gifts specially to our close friends, but sometimes it can be hard to do so, especially when the couple seems to have it all.

Wedding Registries are a wonderful thing, they make shopping for Wedding Gifts a breeze! But what about all of the other events that come along with weddings? I always have a hard time picking out gifts for those occasions because not only do I want the gift to mean something to the bride, groom, or the couple but I also want them to get use out of it!!

I have partnered with Uncommon Goods to bring you gift ideas for all other wedding events (think couples showers or engagement parties)! I love Uncommon Goods because they have a wide range of unique gifts that everyone will love!!

Wedding Gift Guide - Ours

In addition to my picks above, Uncommon Goods has unique gifts for other occasions like; Anniversary Gifts, Personalized Gifts and Birthday Gifts! There is a gift for everyone :)

I hope y'all enjoyed this post and it makes gift shopping a bit easier!

It finally feels like Fall in Texas!!! It was in the 50s this morning and I loved it! Fall is one of my favorite seasons; not only because you don't melt like a popsicle when you walk outside, but also Fall fashion is so versatile that switching a couple of accessories can change up your whole look!

I put that to the test by styling this gorgeous burgundy dress 3 different ways!

Outfit #1: I never thought I would jump on the choker trend, but I was wrong! I found this choker at Charlotte Russe a couple of weeks ago for $5 and it adds the perfect amount of fall to this dress. This is a very monochromatic look which allows the shoes to be the focal point! Can we just talk about how cute the shoes are??? The fringe in the back of the shoes adds the perfect finishing touch to the outfit.

Outfit#2: I traded the choker for a statement necklace, the shoes for a pair of OTK books, and the purse for a gold envelope clutch; this made the whole outfit feel more fall appropriate and versatile to wear for a night out when the temperatures start to drop!

Outfit #3: I just added a faux fur vest to take this look to another level! If you are not a fan of faux fur vest just add a black suede vest and it would look equally stunning!!

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend and enjoyed this post!
