Show a Little Shoulder

Dress (similar here) | Purse (Similar here) | Earrings (similar here) |
Boots (same style here and similar here) | Puff (here)

Winter is finally here (for now at least), we even turned on the heater at our apartment. Texas decided to give us a cold front today, it got as low as 28 degrees!! Even though today was freezing I can't stop wearing off the shoulder sweaters and dresses!

I love this off the shoulder dress for the colder months, it is a thicker fabric than your usual off the shoulder dresses and the teal color is stunning for winter! Paired with some high boots it is appropriate for the colder months! I got the dress from a local boutique in my hometown, unfortunately they do not have a website :( but I have linked some similar options below (one of them is only $14.99!!!) These Jessica Simpson boots I got a couple of years ago in Chicago, the distressed leather gives them a cool vibe and they do not look like every other pair of boots in my closet!

There is something really feminine and dressy about off the shoulder clothing and i think it can be a fun way to shake up your wardrobe during the colder months!! I think this dress would be stunning for holiday parties, the teal color will make you stand out in a sea of sparkle! Just don't forget to add a coat when you go outside! :)

Navy Suede

Shirt (Loft) | Suede Skirt (Loft) | Booties (JustFab) |
Purse (Michael Kors, Similar Here) | Sunglasses (Ray-Ban) | Earrings (Kendra Scott)

November is here!! Which means my favorite holiday is just around the corner, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it is filled with great food, family, and football!!

This amazing suede skirt from Loft is perfect for thanksgiving! The deep navy color can be paired with a variety of colors because it is a neutral and the texture makes for the perfect focal point for any outfit! I pared it with this floral burgundy tunic from Loft, I love anything floral but fall florals hold a special place in my heart! One of the many reasons I love this tunic is because it can also be worn with leggings and OTK for an edgier look!

Now lets talk about these shoes! I don't think i have ever seen navy booties before I spotted this amazing JustFab booties, the cutouts and the fringe makes them perfect for this not-so-hot Texas Fall weather! The heel is pretty high but super comfortable!

My shirt and skirt are currently 40% off during the Loft Friendsgiving Sale!

Blogging has helped my confidence and body image....

That might be a weird thing to say since having a fashion blog means putting yourself out there and giving people a chance to criticize the way you look in clothes.

Ever since I can remember I've had an unnatural love for fashion, I remember when I was a little girl I would go into my grandma's closet and get all dressed up in her fur coats, jewels and high heels, it made me feel like i could face anything that came my way, like I was wearing a gorgeous armor that helped me face the world. That feeling carried over into my teens and most of my twenties.

I had always refused a career in fashion, because I never thought I was pretty enough or skinny enough, or tall enough. Every time I saw a fashion model, blogger or designer they looked like the epitome of perfection and I was never going to be able to achieve that. They were the ultimate goal, a goal that ordinary people like me could never reach.

That comparison stopped me from starting a blog for a couple of years, every time I would sit down to write anything fashion-related a voice in the back of my head would say "who would listen to fashion advice from someone that looks like you?" and for a very long time I believed that little voice. Then one day something changed, I realized that our differences is what makes us beautiful and that there are a lot of guys and girls that feel like I do, like just because they don't fit a mold they shouldn't  be doing something they love.

When I got over my fear, blogging became my outlet, it was a way to channel my creative energy and I didn't care that my mom and mother-in-law were the only people reading it :) It was something I really enjoyed doing. Now a days, I don't worry too much about what other people think about my hobby but if I can help one girl get over her fear and realize that we were created after God's image and we are perfection in our own unique ways I have done my job!!

Blogging has opened my eyes to all the amazing people out there, and that no matter how different we are we all have something very special to offer. My blogs and IG pictures might seem silly to some, but to me they are a way to show that girl that is a little nerdy with a killer fashion sense that it is ok to be both, and that the world will embrace you just the way you are!

Thank you for putting up with this long and out of the ordinary post! Love y'all!!!

Statement Shoes

Top: Similar here | Necklace: Kendra Scott | Sunglasses: Nordstrom |
Black Jeans: Asos | Shoes: JustFab, similar here and here |

During the summer I love wearing color, the brighter the outfit the better! But sometimes you have to let your accessories do the talking and keep everything else very simple. Simple doesn't have to mean boring, by paring some basic pieces with some statement making accessories, you get the perfect outfit!

Now can we talk about these amazing shoes?!? I love these shoes so much that I got them in 3 colors; this pattern, nude, and fuchsia! They are probably my favorite pair shoes in my closet, and that is saying a lot because I own a lot of shoes!!! (just ask my husband) I love these shoes because they are the perfect finishing touch every outfit needs and they are also really comfortable! I wore them for a night out when we were in Vegas and my feet did not hurt at all!

I got these shoes before the summer started from JustFab; for those of you that don't know what JustFab is it is an online store where you pay a monthly fee of $39.99 and you get shoes delivered at your door! They have super cute styles and they are really high quality. One of my favorite things about JustFab is that you if you don't feel like getting a pair of shoes that month you can just skip it and your credit card won't be charged! I have been getting shoes from JustFab for almost two years now and I have never had a problem!

Sadly my exact shoes are sold out but I linked some similar styles below!

I cannot believe thanksgiving is in a couple of days! I remember the holidays last year like it was yesterday. This year has flown by!

One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving, and this year is extra special because my husband and I will be hosting our first thanksgiving at our apartment. I always enjoyed helping my mom cook and this year most of the cooking will be up to me, no pressure...

My dilemma every thanksgiving is I wanna look stylish but I also want to be comfortable, and be able to hide my food baby after a delicious meal (don't we all?) I put together four outfits that can be perfect for thanksgiving no matter what you have planned!

Maui

It has been a while since I have written a post and a lot has changed since then, including my last name!! I got married three weeks ago and it was even more perfect than I could've ever imagined. I will be writing a post about my wedding dress and the wedding day later on!

For our honeymoon we went to Maui, and we didn't want to leave. You know what they say; everything is better with a tan and a drink in your hand!!!

I decided to put together a list of the things we did while we were in Maui and what we enjoyed the most!

Our first night in Maui we decided to go to a Luau, I believe it was the best way to kick off our Hawaiian honeymoon. We got to meet some really great people, eat amazing food and watch a great show.

We were lucky enough that our hotel hosted a Luau almost every night, so we didn’t have to go far.

Instead of driving we decided to take the tour to Hana. I really enjoyed the tour because our tour guide was hilarious, we got to learn some history about the island (every legend is Hawaii is a love story) and we got to meet a lot of amazing people – We got some really good marriage advise from our fellow tourists!! At the end of the day (it is a 12 hour tour) we all felt like family.

This was one of my favorite experiences while in Maui; it was even worth walking up at 2am for it!  When we booked the tour to go watch the sunrise they said bring a light jacket, well let me tell you what they really mean is bring your winter coat! If you are planning on watching the sunrise at Haleakala National Park bring a full on jacket! While we were there it was 32 degrees and windy!! I was freezing!

It is breathtaking watching the sunrise above the clouds; we were 9,740FT above sea level! I have never seen something so beautiful!

Anytime there is wine involved you can count me in! Did I mention they make pineapple wine? Talk about delicious!!

If you enjoy amazing seafood and breathtaking views this is the place for you! You have to make a reservation and it is a little on the pricey side, but in my opinion it is totally worth it!!

Beach!!

I love the beach and Maui has beautiful beaches! Our hotel has two different beaches, so we had double the fun!

Honorable Mentions:

Favorite Restaurant – Migrant
Shops at Wailea Beach – Shopping and art galleries, what else do you need?

Every person we met in Maui was friendly and made you feel welcome. We really enjoyed our honeymoon in paradise, my Husband and I can't wait to go back!
