I am currently sitting on the couch watching Legally Blonde with my sister, as you all know today is the movie's 15th year anniversary!!! I cannot believe this movie has been out for 15 years! Legally Blonde is one of my favorite movies! It is funny, has killer fashion and it teaches you a valuable lesson.
Watching this movie as I have gotten older has made me realize that this movie is more than a just a chick flick; this is a movie with an unapologetic strong female lead, who teaches you that with a little faith and a lot of hard work, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Some people might even think is one of the best feminist movies of all time!
Elle Woods made a lasting impression on a 11 year old who loved fashion and the color pink, but was a huge nerd on the inside. She made me realize that it was acceptable to love fashion as much as I loved school, and that there were going to be times when people didn't think that you were good enough, but you must always have faith on yourself!!
I decided to write a blog post on one of the biggest style icons of the early 2000s - Elle Woods.
Remember that amazing tie dye dress and the heart wedges that Elle wore in the opening scene? Probably one of my favorite outfits in whole movie!
For Elle's first day at her new internship she wore a timeless black and white ensemble, with a pops of red. This outfit would be perfect for the office!
A monochromatic pink outfit with touches of gold was the perfect choice for Elle's shining moment!
