27

Dress |  Shoes |  Sunglasses |  Cuff |

Today is the last day of July which is also the last day of my birthday month! This year I turned 27 and officially entered my late 20s! I decided to write a list of the 27 things I have learned in my 27 years, and what I am looking forward to this year.

27 Things i've learned in my 27 years:

1) You don't have to fit a mold, being unique is way more fun.

2) Do what makes you happy, and that doesn't have to be just one thing.

3) Sports have a special way to break your heart, but they can also bring immense joy.

4) There is such thing as being too nice, be nice but don't let people walk all over you.

5) Don't let society harden you up.

6) People are going to judge if you do or if you don't, so make them worth their while :)

7) Being interested in fashion doesn't make you superficial, people can be multifaceted, fashion is just one of your many layers.

8) You don't have to have everything figured out, a little mystery is a good thing.

9) You don't have to follow someone else timeline, everything happens at different time for different people.

10) You're never too old to try/start something new.

11) If you are the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room.

12) Even if you don't think you're qualified go for it! You might surprise yourself.

13) Do things for yourself, not for the praise of other people.

14) Travel as often as you can, but also value your down time.

15) When it comes to food; try everything once. If you don't like it at least you can say you tried it.

16) It's always great to have conversations with people with opposite views, you can always learn something.

17) We don't always get to choose our family; but God makes us part of our families for a reason.

18) Always work hard, it will pay off when you least expect it.

19) Make an effort to keep in touch with friends, it doesn't matter if they live down the street or across the world.

20) Marry a man that makes you laugh even when you're mad.

21) Don't compare yourself to others, everyone's situations are different. If you compare yourself to others you're never going to be good enough.

22) It is ok to get mad, but don't hold on to that anger. If you're upset take a couple of minutes to be upset and then let it go!

23) Don't let what others think of you stop you from doing something you're passionate about.

24) Find a hobby or a creative outlet, something that helps you escape the stress of adulthood.

25) Always say please and thank you, mom was right those three words can go far.

26) Be proud of where you came from, it has made you who you are.

27) A great outfit can turn your day around!

This year I am looking forward to traveling a lot more, and spending time with my family!

I hope y'all enjoyed this post, it is different from my usual content but I had so much fun writing it!! :)
